Paġlagipsi. Greetings, everyone. My name is Chelsey Zibell, my Iñupiaq name is Qaġġun. I am originally from Noorvik, Alaska which is a small town in the northwest part of the state. I am a professor of Iñupiaq Language who also has an MFA in Creative Writing. I mainly focus on poetry and essays dealing with Iñupiaq culture and the complexities of have a mixed identity.
It is my hope that this blog will be a space where I can share ideas and post updates on my writing. (I also sometimes use this blog for classes that I take)
